Turbine Blades


We repair and coat gas turbine blades and buckets for all major engine types.



  • Receive and identify set of buckets.

  • Record part numbers and serial numbers.

  • Check cooling holes for blockage.

  • Visually inspect the set of buckets.

  • Remove metallurgical sample for evaluation.

  • Clean buckets by aluminum oxide blasting.

  • Mask cooling holes and root.

  • Chemically strip coating.

  • Gritblast clean and heat tint to insure coating removal.

  • Perform non-destructive testing (FPI) evaluation.

  • Visual / dimensional inspection and defect map.

  • Pre-weld solution heat treat per material specifications.

  • Weld repair buckets.

  • Blend repair buckets.

  • Clean buckets by aluminum oxide blasting.

  • Perform non-destructive testing (FPI) evaluation.

  • Check cooling holes for blockage.

  • Post weld solution and age heat treatment.

  • Verify that cooling holes are open.

  • Shotpeen root and apply AL sealing strip.

  • Moment weigh and chart all buckets.

  • Package for shipment.

  • Prepare repair report and forward to customer.

  • Hardface welding and machining.

  • Diffused Aluminide coating.
